Introduction

Book huts, campsites and lodges including Great Walks.

Great Walk bookings (1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025)

Opening dates for bookings will be announced by the end of April. We will give at least two weeks’ notice before bookings open.

All other hut, campsite and lodge bookings (1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025)

Bookings open at 9.30 am on the dates below. 

  • South Island campsites:  9 April 2024
  • North Island campsites: 11 April 2024
  • Huts: 16 April 2024
  • Totaranui Campsite:17 April 2024
  • Sole occupancy lodges:18 April 2024
  • Momorangi Campsite: 23 April 2024

All bookings operate on a first-come first-served basis. We do not operate waiting lists for bookings for future seasons, or currently booked-out facilities.

For help with bookings, contact a DOC visitor centre. Not all facilities can be booked.
